Well, almost. I worked on it about half of Friday, all of Sunday and four or so hours today. I need to weave in the ends and block it, but the knitting is done! I made a boatload of mistakes... and I don't care! Well, okay, I care a little but not enough to rip back and fix them. It turned out pretty much like I wanted and I think it's beautiful. Even unblocked, it's a good size: I'll be plenty warm this winter. I still have yarn left in all the shades of blue and I'm considering adding a single tassle at the bottom point. Now I need to pick up some interlocking foam squares - the ones people use as flooring for kid's rooms - so I can block it out. Once that's done, I'll be able to give the final dimensions.
Now that it's done, I'm not sure what to do with myself. I suppose it's time to start thinking of Christmas knitting. Plus, the Spinner's Flock Fiber Fair is coming up in a few weeks and I want to spin up some roving that hasn't sold in the hope that it'll sell as handspun. I think I'll take a day to regroup and weigh my options. I still want to explore some shawl ideas that have been running around my head. As usual, I have more ideas and projects than I have time. I definitely don't have to worry about being bored.
Hush you and your talk of Christmas knitting! I refuse to consider that yet. =P
The shawl is gorgeous. Can't wait to see it all blocked out!
