A while back I dyed some roving in the crockpot that I thought was ugly (hey, even the best of us produce some clunkers). I never showed you the ugly roving because I was going use it to prove a theory of mine that even the ugliest roving will produce beautiful yarn. Here's the roving:
I was fine with the two greens and the purple, but adding in the spiced pumpkin turn a nice color combo into something repulsive, at least to me. Here's the finished yarn:
This is my finest yarn yet and after washing, it's got a good twist but it's still nice and squishy. I ended up with about 400 yards of DK weight. To be honest, this isn't my kind of sock yarn - it's too dark - so I'm going to put it up on my Etsy store for someone who will love it more than me.
Here's the last of the Italy pictures. Everywhere in Italy there are fountains and pigeons. Sometimes the two combine to make some nice pictures. Enjoy.
the colours in the yarn remind me of christmas wrapping paper ;) or a christmas tree with all the tinsel over it!
