Fabric for a new quilt

 

This is part of my Thanksgiving weekend project.  I'll be making this quilt, or a similar arrangement, only instead of the solid putty fabric, I'll be using black.  The idea is the black will make the colors pop.  It looks good in my head.  So, opinions on my fabric?  I think I need more in the "light" range and a few more in the "medium" range.  Good thing I get paid on Friday since I'll need to make a trip to my LQS (local quilting store).

I'm still working on getting some good photos of Tyr but photographing a black cat who rarely sits still is tricky.  Add in the time change, and decent light for pictures is almost gone by the time I get home from work.  I should get some good chances this weekend.

(And I can't give an unbiased opinion on whether you need more - I come down firmly on the side of 'the more, the better'...)
