Some fun everyday napkins. And more time spend on quilt squares. I'm up to 200 sewn and trimmed. Frankly, the trimming part is rather tedious. Now I'm starting to think of how I can transform a wall in my condo into a design wall, and which wall will be the lucky winner of said transformation. Currently drawing a blank.
I took this and a second necklace to the Ann Arbor Art Center today to put in the gift shop. I'd be very happy to see someone walking around town wearing one of my pieces.
I'm searching for the perfect butternut squash soup recipe. Anyone have a favorite they'd like to share? Please.
Look at the pretties! I love the fabric for your napkins, and the necklace is flat-out gorgeous!
You really *do* have a lot of hobbies, don't you...

I've never made butternut squash soup, but go look on Vegetarian Times' site, also Epicurious, I bet they have something.
200 squares sewn and trimmed? You've been busy! I have to make 100 - 2 7/8" squares for my next quilt and I'm finding it impossible to cut 2 7/8". I end up with 3" or 2.75. I may have to just cut them all 3" and then cut down, but then I may run out of fabric! Maybe I need a new blade...

I'd choose the wall between the kitchen and the living room, that has the staircase. The table that's there can go in the bedroom.
aaaand,
Lynnie's Pumpkin-Butternut Soup Experiment
1 can pumpkin
1 package frozen butternut squash, the mashed kind, not the chunks- thawed
Stock, vegetable or chicken
1/2 and 1/2
sage
pepper
garlic powder
Mix pumpkin and squash until well blended, add to crock.
Pour in enough stock to give it a creamy soup consistency.
Add sage, pepper and garlic powder to taste (all optional)
Turn on low, 2-3 hours.
Add 1/2 and 1/2 to desired creamy consistency just before serving, allow to heat. We found without it, there was a weird texture that we didn't like but adding it after changed that.
Notes on this:
Refridgerates excellently, does not freeze well at all.
Sorry about lack of measurements! Got it from a friend on LJ.
