I was between projects tonight. The fabric I ordered didn't come today so I couldn't finish the last two squares in my Halloween quilt. The thought of just sitting and watching TV tonight was not a good one. So what to do? Then it hit me: pillowcases to match my green and purple quilt. Woot!
I used Kona muslin for the body of the case and had enough left over quilt fabric to make the edging and piping. Kona muslin is thicker than regular muslin and is nice and smooth. Should make it feel nice against my face.
I'd been thinking about my sheets and how none of them match the quilt. The quilt isn't big enough to tuck over the pillows so this solves the problem nicely. Heck, I might make matching pillowcases for all my quilts.
These were fun to make and only took a couple of hours for the both. They'd make great Christmas presents. Hmmm...
Yeah, yeah, they'd make some cute presents! They're very well-made, designed with lovely patterns that have a personal touch. The ones you made are very nice, and having them match with the quilt works very well.
